Text version
Since the spread of COVID-19 turned into a worldwide pandemic in March of last year, the church had to temporarily suspend all physical gatherings. During this time, our brothers and sisters continued to participate faithfully in various online gatherings of the church and continued to spread the Gospel. The Lord has added to our numbers those who received salvation during this time. For this, we are very grateful.

Since the end of last year, I was moved to ask everyone attending our prayer meetings to pray for a target date in July 2021 for us to be able to resume physical gatherings, even while praying that the pandemic would pass quickly, our society to return to normal, and churches to reopen. We have been praying for this target date since then. Praise the Lord, the state recently announced that all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted on June 15th; meaning churches can resume meeting in-person as well. At the same time, our remodeling project at our new building at 12345 World Trade Drive will also be completed in mid-June. This “double happiness” is definitely worthy of praise.

Therefore, with gratitude and excitement, I solemnly declare to you:  the Chinese Bible Church of San Diego will officially reopen on the first Sunday of July, July 4th. The church administration will report the details to the church in the next few Sundays. Please tell your friends and family this good news:  that we can all come back to worship in God’s house on July 4th.
