The Cantonese congregation is collecting needed items to support the people of Ukraine via the House of Ukraine, a non-profit cultural museum in Balboa Park that introduces people to the country of Ukraine. The Church Office has set up two boxes for collecting the needed items. One box will be in the lobby of Building 1 and the other in the lobby of Building 2. The collection period will be this Sunday, Mar. 13 to next Sunday, Mar. 20. Below are the suggested donations:
- Medical supplies
- Theraflu
- Any pain medicine
- Gelofusine
- Iodine antiseptic liquid
- Antiseptics
- Thermal blankets
- Thermal underwear: men’s underwear, warm socks
Aside from the needed non-cash donations, the church also encourages our brothers and sisters to support the people of Ukraine through cash donations. The church recommends a few organizations that are responding to the crisis in Ukraine:
